Hybrid 17 Contracting Ltd. has been in operation since 1999. The company was purchased by owners Lasse Lutick and Sarah Winsor from Toni Lutick, Lasse's mom. Toni planted under the name Forestcraft prior to 1999, and Lasse and Sarah were active in supervising the contract for quite a few years before forming Hybrid 17.
The group played a hybrid of punk, new wave and alternative country music. Band members included Dave Gowans on vocals, guitar and banjo, [2] Morgan McDonald on keyboards, Lasse Lutick on guitar and synthesizer, Torben Wilson on drums and Ida Nilsen on vocals, accordion, synthesizer and euphonium .

Ida Nilsen (vocals, keyboards) rounded out the cast of long time regulars, along side Morgan McDonald (Keyboards) Lasse Lutick (electric guitars) and Dave Gowans (Lead Vocals, Guitar and Banjo). Special guest Tim Vesely of Rheostatics fame also made an appearance on several tracks.
