They were soon joined by Roscommon born singer and bodhran (drum) player Cathy Jordan, and later by all Ireland Fiddle Champion Tom Morrow in 1998. It’s a remarkable and at times electric combination – “capable of playing with note-perfect accuracy and perfect control at nearly supersonic levels” (Irish Voice, New York).
In 1998 McAleer left the band and was replaced by Sligo musician Séamie O'Dowd and fiddle player Tom Morrow. Dervish's fifth album, Midsummer's Night, was released in 1999. In 2001 Dervish released Decade, a compilation of tracks from their first five albums.

21 de jun. de 2016 · The band features founder members Shane Mitchell, Brian McDonagh, Liam Kelly and Michael Holmes, who put the group together in Sligo in 1989, plus singer Cathy Jordan, who joined in 1991, and latterly the noted fiddle player Tom Morrow.
Tom Morrow (1928–1994) was an American painter and commercial artist, best known as the designer of numerous iconic advertisements for Broadway plays and musicals from the 1950s to the 1980s.
This album was released on Midsummer’s Night 1999 and features a new Dervish line up, after the departure of fiddle player Shane McAleer. Here Tom Morrow from Carrigallen Co Leitrim joins the band on fiddle and one of Sligo’s most loved sons, Seamie O’Dowd joins on guitar and fiddle.
