2 de feb. de 2023 · Derek Hilland is the new keyboardist and singer of REO Speedwagon, replacing Neal Doughty who retired in 2023. He has played with Iron Butterfly, Whitesnake, Foreigner and Rick Springfield.
3 de feb. de 2023 · REO SPEEDWAGON has recruited Derek Hilland as the replacement for keyboardist and founding member Neal Doughty, who left the band last month. On Thursday (February 2), REO SPEEDWAGON singer Kevin Cronin released the following statement via social media:
The band announced Derek Hilland (ex-Iron Butterfly) as a touring replacement for Doughty. On November 7, 2023, Hall announced he was taking a leave of absence from touring to prepare for and undergo back surgery for an accident he had a number of years earlier. Hall is expected to rejoin the band on tour in 2024.

9 de feb. de 2023 · Neal Doughty, who retired last month after his 55 years of service with REO Speedwagon, will now be replaced by Derek Hilland, as presented by Kevin Cronin. Co-founder and sole member on every album by the band, keyboardist Doughty, said he had had enough of traveling and although he still enjoyed playing live, it was time for him to fly.
Derek Hilland is known for Rick Springfield: Christmas with You (2007), Whitesnake: Too Many Tears (1997) and Whitesnake: Don't Fade Away (1997).
