Marshall Eugene "Rock" Jones (January 1, 1941 – May 27, 2016), professionally known as Rock Jones, was an American bass player. He is best known as a founding member and bassist of the funk, soul music and R&B band Ohio Players. Marshall "Rock" Jones was born in Dayton, Ohio.

Marshall Eugene "Rock" Jones fue el bajista de los Ohio Untouchables, banda de acompañamiento de los Falcons, grupo de doo wop. 30 de may. de 2016 · Sad news to report today: Ohio Players bassist Marshall “Rock” Jones has passed away after battling cancer and recently suffering a stroke. He was 75 years old. Jones was a founding member of the Ohio Players precursor band The Ohio Untouchables in 1959, though he left after getting in a fistfight 1964.
