Through 10-year-old Huey, 8-year-old Riley, and their grandfather Robert, the story explores Black American culture and its place in the US from a satirical angle.
I feel like a lot of fanbases for adult animation are one of two things. Either it's a lot of weird bigoted guys who make it their life goals to memorise as many quotes as possible as some kind of rite of passage, or it's a bunch of teenagers who seem to have collectively hallucinated a completely different show.
