On the strength of frequent radio play on Radio 1 and rotation of the song's music video on MTV, "Paranoid Android" reached number three in the UK, giving Radiohead their highest chart position.

I remember (or think I do) reading an interview with Thom Yorke after OK Computer was released where he said they were trying to stitch the parts of Paranoid Android together in the studio and it just wasn't happening and he stormed out in a huff and got hammered in a local pub.
Today I was playing Day of the Lords by Joy Division but for whatever reason I decided to speed it up and I got an eerily similar result to Paranoid Android which makes believe that this song had some influences on the masterpiece of Paranoid Android.
