I am watching S1 and I don't understand why Nate is putting so much effort in blackmailing Jules. I don't think he knows about his father's affair with Jules.
I think a lot of the show is very outlandish, especially some of the stuff involving Rue, Kat, Elliot, Jules, and Nate. However, I think a lot of the show has realistic teen dialogue compared to a lot of shows that came out around the same time. I also think Rue's panic episodes are extremely realistic as I've had very very similar breakdowns.

Jules is unaware that Rue has relapsed even though it's instantly clear that things aren't right.

Yeah, I get the Nate obsession to an extent - Jacob Elordi is undeniably a good-looking dude with that classic bad boy vibe... But Nate's personality is straight-up toxic. 🤮 He's manipulative, abusive and deeply damaged under that charming exterior.
