15 de jun. de 2024 · The Brazilian test (see Goodman 1980, for example) is used to estimate the tensile strength of rock and concrete. A disk or cylinder of the material is loaded diametrically between the platens of a testing machine. Failure is usually by splitting across the loaded diameter.
