  2. Requiem for a Nun is a sequel to Sanctuary. I would read these two in succession and this is considered low Faulkner. The Sound and the Fury is his modernist classic. I would plan to read this 2x. There are 4 parts with each part increasingly easy to follow. The best way to “get it” is to read it in reverse order (part 4 to 1).
