1 de jul. de 2024 · The Hicks Beach family of Williamstrip became the dominant landed interest in the parish before 1845 with the acquisition by Sir Michael Hicks Hicks Beach of the leaseholds of Coln St. Aldwyns manor and the rectory estate.

In February, 1886, Sir William Harcourt became Chancellor of the Exchequer, but did not take up his residence at No. 11, Downing Street.
