29 de jul. de 2022 · Hi guys I'm currently using OpenVPN on Asuswrt-Merlin 386.7 but would really like to have Wireguard. My Asus router: RT-AX88U So my question is, does this firmware support Wireguard at the moment or will it be implemented later? Best regards, M
8 de jul. de 2022 · Hello. Sorry if this has been asked and answered before but I'm looking for a fast Wireguard router that I don't have to use/add additional software to function. I currently have a GL-iNet Flint(GL-AX1800) that is working OK with Mullvad imported Wireguard config files. It worked right out of the box.

That means if you use Wireguard on an Asus router, your router will no longer be able to reach 500 Mbps outside of the tunnel. The Wireguard throughput will be closer to 250-300 Mbps, and the non-VPN traffic will be closer to 400 Mbps.

23 de dic. de 2022 · Ive seen some posts about wireguard around the forums but just wondered if it's usable on RT-AC86U. i'm currently running asus merlin on firmware. 386.4. You will need to use something like the Wireguard Manager add-on. See the Add-On subforum and use the filter option to find more discussion on using Wireguard on the AC series routers.
4 de dic. de 2022 · Stay with OpenVPN. Using WireGuard with NordVPN is a bit complicated, and I doubt you would gain much in terms of performance by switching to WireGuard. Also, there are some hints that when using a tunnel provider, WireGuard might be less secure than OpenVPN in terms of information leaks. I saw a few mentions of this over the past few months.

2 de ene. de 2022 · So I have successfully got wireguard working on my router RT-AX86U with merlin via ssh. My question is when will merlin start building a GUI ? This month? Next month? I think it will be a lot more easier for everyone.
17 de dic. de 2022 · The 10.6.0.1 is my setup by default and someone else's. You need to go to the VPN status page and look to see what your IP would be if you joined your own network. If not there, open wireguard and look at your configuration. I used the default setup but some put there own address pool into this configuration page.
