Independent Speaking Rubric. Response is sustained and suficient to the task. It is generally well developed and coherent; relationships between ideas are clear (or there is a clear progression of ideas). Response is mostly coherent and sustained and conveys relevant ideas/information.
The “World Language Presentational Speaking Rubric” typically refers to a set of guidelines or criteria used to assess and evaluate a person’s ability to deliver a presentation or speech in a world language (a language other than their native language).

Appendix 1: Rubric used to assess speaking performance. Assessing Speaking Performance – Level A2. Comments: Grammar . Does the speaker use simple grammatical forms with a good degree of control? Forms such as: there is/are – to be – have (got) – can/can’t – must/mustn’t –present tense is used, occasional use of past tense or going to.
The B2 First Assessment Scales are divided into six bands from 0 to 5, with 0 being the lowest and 5 the highest. Descriptors for each criterion are provided for bands 1, 3 and 5 and indicate what a candidate is expected to demonstrate at each band.
