26 de jul. de 2022 · Thinking about signing up for uber to use when I need a rental car, and basically driving a few routes to help pay for the car. Curious which companies Uber supports renting through, and if you get good rates? My current corporate discount with Enterprise is super good ($30 a day or so), and not sure if Uber rates through agencies would even make sense.
Just a quick positive anecdote: Rented a car from Vacanza rent a car in Chania, just for 2 days for a total of $137.82 usd (mid-May, 2023) for a Suzuki Celerio with manual transmission. Went to the office the night before and set up the terms and came back the next morning to sign the agreement, pay, and get the car.
29 de nov. de 2022 · Part of our itinerary will be Jeju Island and we'll be staying in a hotel near Seogwipo for 3 nights. We don't like to be dependent on public transport especially since I read some comments saying the public transport system on Jeju is just okay and not the most convenient. We therefore would like to rent a car for the days we're there.
21 de jun. de 2023 · Don't rent long term from the airport. Instead rent from a non airport location that isn't in a county with a major sports arena/stadium. Take an Uber/Lyft, cab to that county. This isn't convenient, and non airport rental car offices often have hours that aren't anywhere close to 24×7. So plan accordingly and save more the longer ...
Keep in mind, you have to be over 25 to rent a car in the US. You'll also have to look into what kind of driver's license (s) you will need - I doubt an AUS license alone will be sufficient and the rules might be different between rental car companies.
8 de jul. de 2019 · Omoshiro car rental in Noda rents out the 90’s Japanese sports cars. They also have an office at Narita however the selection there isn’t as great. Their website is omoren.com. Fun2drive is more of a guided tour type rental. Keep in mind u will need an IDP to be able to rent.
TLDR: despite initial challenges, renting a car in Japan significantly added to the sites we could visit and cut wasted time. I just returned from Japan and wish to share my car rental experience. I was hesitant to rent a car in Japan because, as an American, I don't have experience driving on the left side of narrow roads.

How many miles should the trip be to make it cost effective? My friend who I will be visiting says the area they live has had a lot of vehicle break-ins recently, which makes me hesitant to take my own car.
