Hace 1 día · For the 1970 model year, Lincoln introduced the fifth-generation Lincoln Continental. Building on the success of the Mark III introduced the year before, Lincoln sought to modernize the Continental for the 1970s after a nine-year production run.

And although the 1970 Lincoln was a completely new car, with a bigger wheelbase than its predecessor and now riding on a gen-u-ine frame, it actually weighed several hundred pounds less than the heavyweight unibodies it replaced.

10 de jun. de 2024 · Although this example is 'optimistically priced', I have to admit bias in the case of these early 1970's Lincoln Continentals, I had a 1970 sedan forty years ago as a nice used car. It drove and rode wonderfully, had ample power, but of course was thirsty: 10 mpg regardless of how driven.
