I recently watched through Paul Thomas Anderson’s entire filmography from beginning to end (short films and bizarre commercials included!) in preparation for Licorice Pizza , as well as immersing myself in his thought process through interviews and film commentaries.

11 de mar. de 2023 · I have a problem. For the last few years or so I have beens struggling with my feelings with PTA and his films. At one time There Will be Blood was my favorite film. It was my favorite film until a few years ago. I loved all his films.
17 de jun. de 2021 · One of my favorite stories from the Paul Thomas Anderson lunatic years is when Phil Collins beat Aimee Mann for best song at the 2000 Oscars, PTA stood up and yelled "NOOOO!" as told by the South Park guys, who were also nominated for best song that year. posted by @JFrankensteiner. 22 de mar. de 2022 · Honestly it would make absolutely zero sense that he doesn’t want his movies on 4K since its able to more accurately capture the look it has on film and the fact that Phantom Thread is on the 4K and was pretty early on the format’s lifecycle. I watch Films at Home for product information but take everything he says with a grain of salt.

I like some of these more than the others, but they are all equal somehow someway in my mind. All perfect start off points and just watch these four in whatever order ha.
