Hace 2 días · The "Brandenburg Concertos" were composed and dedicated to Christian Ludwig, Margrave of Brandenburg in 1721, however it seems now they were never actually played for him. This 1st movement has been kilfully arranged as a trio for Soprano Cornet and 2 Bb Cornets (solo cornet, and repiano).
10 de jun. de 2024 · I understand that Johann Sebastian Bach wrote the Brandenburg Concertos when he was employed by a Calvinist Margrave Christian Ludwig of Brandenburg-Schwedt. Calvinists did not approve of the type of music Johann Sebastian Bach wrote for worship in Lutheran churches.
