  4. Biography. Annie Lennox was born in 1954. She was educated at Aberdeen High School for Girls (now Harlaw Academy). From 1971 to 1974, she studied the flute and classical music at the Royal Academy of Music. She left just before her finals, and found work variously in a bookshop and as a singer and a waitress.
