Logan Lerman. Charlie Kelmeckis is the main protagonist of The Perks of Being a Wallflower. Through the course of the novel, he narrates the story by writing a series of letters to an anonymous person. Charlie is a shy and caring person, but also has a lot of guilt. He is extremely thoughtful, and this leads him to very good and very bad places.
The intimacy causes him to flashback to a time when his Aunt Helen molested him. After therapy, he remembers that she used to molest him while they watched television. Charlie’s friend Patrick is gay. He is in a secret relationship with the quarterback of the football team, Brad. At first, Brad wouldn’t admit to being gay.
