A member of the Getty family, she is the granddaughter of the billionare Gordon Getty and the philanthropist Ann Getty. She is a great-granddaughter of the industrialist J. Paul Getty, who founded Getty Oil and the J. Paul Getty Trust, and the actress Ann Rork Light. Getty grew up at her grandparents mansion in Pacific Heights, San Francisco.
