Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter Jennifer Warnes looks back on the life of Leonard Cohen, who died on 7th November 2016 following a fall at his Los Angeles home. Other tour members included violinist Raffi Hakopian, oudist John Bilezikjian, and backup singers Laura Branigan, Jennifer Warnes and Sharon Robinson. Beck would become a stalwart of Cohen's studio and live bands for more than a decade afterwards. The album cover portrait was taken by Montreal photographer, Hazel Field.
12 de sept. de 2017 · In 1979, after the release of his album Recent Songs, Cohen set out on an international concert tour accompanied by members of the jazz-rock group Passenger; Field Commander Cohen was compiled from recordings of the 1979 tour, and it presents an especially strong argument for Cohen's gifts as a musician.
