28 de jun. de 2024 · Dylan Mika (1972-2018) was a proud Old Boy of St Peter’s College. Dylan went on to play first class Rugby for Auckland, Blues, Chiefs, Manu Samoa and the All Blacks. The Mika family and friends have established a fund in Dylan’s memory. The scholarship covers tuition costs* for the recipient for their Year 9 -13 schooling.
2 de jul. de 2024 · St. Peter's School. There were 65 boys in St. Peter's School in 1900 and the number remained constant until after 1913. During this period many branches of scientific study were introduced and a preparatory school provided by taking over St. Olave's, a private school close at hand. A new science block was opened in 1903.
26 de jun. de 2024 · Father Timothy Nolan, pastor of St. Peter the Apostle parish in New Castle, announced June 26 that the parish school will not reopen this year due to dwindling enrollment.. Father Nolan and school principal Carlo Testa had morning meetings at the school with faculty and staff. Shortly after that meeting, an email was sent to school families informing them of the decision.
Hace 4 días · The Old Residence was later occupied by the headmaster of St. Peter's School, the Chapter Clerk, the registrar, and others. In 1959 it was used by the junior school of the York College for Girls. The New Residence was used by the chapter until 1920 when a new statute enabled canons in residence to live in other houses.
13 de jun. de 2024 · As the official choir school for York Minster (and the second oldest in England), music and singing are both a very big deal at St Peter’s. Pupils get to sing in the awe-inspiring Minster (just a short walk from the school) every day, and choristers benefit from a significant fee reduction (bursaries of up to 100 per cent are also available).
