31 de oct. de 2022 · Soon after those sessions, Charlie Shavers contracted throat cancer. He passed away on July 8, 1971 when he was just 50. Consistent with his career, his death was completely overshadowed and largely overlooked because Louis Armstrong had passed away two days earlier!
