The Stairway to Heaven riff is one of the most iconic and recognizable guitar riffs in rock music. It is so well known that it is often referred to simply as “the Stairway riff”. The riff was written by Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page and first appeared on the band’s 1971 album Led Zeppelin IV.
