1 de mar. de 2015 · Microceratus gobiensis is a small bipedal species of ceratopsian that originated in the Cretaceous period, roughly 90 million years ago. Its binomial name means “small horn from the Gobi.” Remains were first found in the Gobi Desert by Dr. Anders Birger Bohlin in 1953, as a part of a Sino-Swedish paleontological expedition.
Easily recognised thanks to its blunt beak and the small horn on its forehead (its name directly translates into English as ‘small-horned’), Microceratus is an herbivorous dinosaur that lived around 65-85 million years ago during the Cretaceous period.
