24 de mar. de 2020 · Years later, Daniel Bernoulli and Leonhard Euler advanced the theories much further. Euler’s contributions to the mechanics of elastic bodies were fundamental: he posed and solved the main problems of elasticity theory, resistance of materials, and structural mechanics.

Durante ese tiempo compartió vivienda con el también gran matemático Leonhard Euler, que había llegado a la Academia recomendado por el propio Daniel y al que ya conocía por ser un aventajado alumno de su padre en la Universidad de Basilea.
6 de feb. de 2019 · Here, we examine two of Euler’s earliest works in fluid mechanics – first, an extract from a letter to Johann Bernoulli, and second, an early manuscript published many years after it was written. From these works, we see the influence that Daniel and Johann Bernoulli had on the development of Euler’s ideas.
