Definición de la enfermedad. Es una forma poco frecuente de ictiosis congénita autosómica recesiva. Está caracterizada por la presencia, al nacimiento, de escamas grandes, gruesas y con aspecto de placas afectando a todo el cuerpo, asociadas a ectropion grave, eclabio y orejas aplanadas.
