The road on the east side of the lake leading to its far end has been closed off to all but regular vehicles. ATVs and dirtbikes are not permitted on the road beyond the south boundary of Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park.
Situated just north of the American border and adjacent to the North Cascades National Park, Chilliwack Lake Provincial Park typifies a lush coastal environment. The large, valley bottom lake is surrounded by giant old-growth forests, with views to alpine ridges.
