Batman Beyond Vol 6 #42 ( May, 2020) Derek Powers is Blight, a radioactive madman with a lethal touch. Former head of Powers Technology, now his mission is to find and kill Bruce Wayne and his archenemy the new Batman.
After an unfriendly encounter with the Tomorrow Knight, Powers was exposed to a mutagenic nerve gas. The gas, in combination with the radiation he later received to heal his scars, has left him transformed into a walking toxic hazard named Blight.
Derek Powers was a rival and eventually business partner of Bruce Wayne, though the union was not a happy one. He became Blight and tried multiple times to oust the elder Wayne, but was stopped by the new Batman.
