5 de sept. de 2014 · While Stage 1 involved the basic use of EHRs, Meaningful Use Stage 2 requirements are more focused on using EHRs to improve quality of care, with the three main priorities being clinical decision support, patient and family engagement, and documenting continuity of care decisions.
This guide is intended to provide eligible professionals (EPs) with an overview of Stage 2 of meaningful use. The guide discusses changes to meaningful use objectives and to Clinical Quality Measures (CQMs), and the overall goals of Stage 2.
Stage 2 encouraged the use of EHRs for increased exchange of information and continuous quality improvement at the point of care. Modified Stage 2, released in October 2015, consolidated Stages 1 and 2 into a new program. These are the current requirements all physicians should follow.
