Josefin Asplund is a Swedish actress who starred in Vikings as Astrid, a shieldmaiden and Ragnar's wife. She also appeared in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, The Circle, and other films and TV shows.
She is known to international audiences for her roles as Astrid on the History Channel series Vikings and Pernilla Blomkvist in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011). She starred in the 2015 film adaptation of the Swedish novel The Circle.
Astrid is a free-spirited young woman who joins Lagertha's court at Hedeby in the series Vikings. She is played by Josefin Asplund, a Swedish actress who has worked with Daniel Craig and Levan Akin.
