Superboy was a partial genetic clone of Superman created on the orders of Lex Luthor, and a superhero endorsed by the latter, as a "replacement" for Superman. Superboy was later adopted by Martha and Jonathan Kent, and given the name Conner Kent.
This version of the character is exclusive to the continuity of the DC Animated Movie Universe and is an adaptation of Conner Kent/Superboy. The original character was created by Karl Kesel and Tom Grummett and first appeared in Adventures of Superman #500. Superboy was voiced by Cameron Monaghan.
