Lucas (pronunciation: LYOO-kuh; Japanese: リュカ) is the main protagonist of Mother 3. The son of Flint and Hinawa and younger twin brother of Claus, Lucas is a young boy who lives with his family in Tazmily Village. He is one out of the seven playable characters in total (Lucas, Kumatora, Duster, Boney , Claus, Flint, and Salsa ).
Lucas (Japanese: リュカ Lucas) is a character in Mother 3. He is the protagonist in the game and main playable character of the game starting in Chapter 4. He also makes appearances in Super Smash Bros. Brawl , Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS and Wii U , and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a playable character.
The studio that was porting Mother 3 to the G.B.A. made their own redesigns for the characters that was more inspired by the extremely early looks on the 64 instead of the ones nearing the end of development, in the interview they literally say they were trying to "subvert expectations", but they did NOT do it well...

I thought it was just an EarthBound thing, and voilá! It still happens in official artwork of Mother 3. Lucas looks off, Claus looks like he's wearing an orange hat and Kumatora looks really derpy. Seriously. What's up with that? Also, smiling Lucas in the 3rd photo. Enough said.
