Bird was only significantly better than Kobe at rebounding. Kobe's a near equal playmaker, far superior scorer and far superior defender. And had a prime that lasted as long as Bird's entire career.
Kobe only once lost a playoff series with homecourt advantage (2004 Finals). Bird was upset 7 times. People trash Kobe for 2004, Lebron for 2011, Curry for 2016. But nobody ever brings up Bird choking in the playoffs year after year despite having the better team.
