Letitia Elizabeth Landon (14 August 1802 – 15 October 1838) was an English poet and novelist, better known by her initials L.E.L. Landon's writings are emblematic of the transition from Romanticism to Victorian literature.

Letitia Elizabeth Landon was born on August 14, 1802 in London. Her collections of poetry include The Fate of Adelaide: A Swiss Romantic Tale, and Other Poems (John Warren, 1821) and The Improvisatrice (Hurst, Robinson & Co., 1824). She died on October 15, 1838.
