Christian Boehmer Anfinsen (Monessen, Estados Unidos, 26 de marzo de 1916-Randallstown, 14 de mayo de 1995) [1] fue un químico, bioquímico y profesor universitario estadounidense galardonado con el Premio Nobel de Química del año 1972.
Christian Boehmer Anfinsen Jr. (March 26, 1916 – May 14, 1995) was an American biochemist. He shared the 1972 Nobel Prize in Chemistry with Stanford Moore and William Howard Stein for work on ribonuclease , especially concerning the connection between the amino acid sequence and the biologically active conformation (see Anfinsen's dogma ).

10 de may. de 2024 · Christian B. Anfinsen was an American biochemist who, with Stanford Moore and William H. Stein, received the 1972 Nobel Prize for Chemistry for research clarifying the relationship between the molecular structure of proteins and their biological functions.
Dr. Anfinsen left Harvard in 1950 to become Chief of the Laboratory of Cellular Physiology and Metabolism in the National Heart Institute of the National Institutes of Health. He was again at Harvard Medical School as Professor of Biological Chemistry in 1962-63 and then returned to the National Institutes of Health to assume his present position.
