  1. Maximilian Philipp Hieronymus (30 September 1638, Munich - 20 March 1705, Turkheim) was a German prince. He was Duke of Bavaria-Leuchtenberg from 1650 until his death, [1] and regent of Bavaria from 1679 to 1680 during the minority of his nephew Maximilian II, Elector of Bavaria .

  2. Duke of Leuchtenberg was a title created twice by the monarchs of Bavaria for their relatives. The first creation was awarded by Maximilian I, Elector of Bavaria to his son Maximilian Philipp Hieronymus, upon whose death without children the lands passed back to his nephew Elector Maximilian II .
