Christine von Dohnanyi (née Bonhoeffer; 26 October 1903 – 2 February 1965) was the sister of Dietrich Bonhoeffer and the wife of Hans von Dohnányi. [1] [2]

Married to Bonhoeffer’s sister Christine, Dohnanyi had worked as a prosecutor in Hamburg for the Justice Ministry; in 1934 he was appointed to work directly under Franz Gürtner, the Reich Justice Minister. While the appointment brought Dohnanyi into the highest echelons of the regime, his opposition to National Socialism is well documented.
Se casó con Christina Bonhoeffer, hermana de sus compañeros de liceo, con quien tuvo tres hijos: Klaus von Dohnanyi (que fue alcalde de Hamburgo de 1981 a 1988), Barbara von Dohnanyi y el director de orquesta Christoph von Dohnányi.
