Gabriela Beňačková-Čápová es una soprano lírica eslovaca nacida el 25 de marzo de 1947 en el área de Bratislava. Poseedora de una voz de soprano lírica de gran flexibilidad y caudal integra un distinguido grupo de cantantes compatriotas entre los que se destacan las sopranos Lucia Popp, Edita Gruberová y el tenor Peter Dvorsky.
Gabriela Beňačková-Čápová (* 25. března 1947 Bratislava) je světově proslulá slovenská operní pěvkyně – sopranistka. Kritici její tzv. spinto lyrický soprán nazývali hlasem s pověstnou „slovanskou slzou“ nebo jej doplňovali přívlastkem stříbrný.
Beňačková specializes in the music of her Slovak compatriots, particularly Eugen Suchoň, as well as Czech composers, notably Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák and Leoš Janáček. She is considered to be one of the greatest 'Jenůfa's' in Janáček's opera of the same name.

She had a musical upbringing, dedicating her early years to singing, ballet, and the piano. In 1962, she went to study at the Bratislava Conservatory, followed by two years at the Conservatory in Zilina.
