Royce Charles Lamberth /’læm-bərth/ (born July 16, 1943) is a senior judge of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, who formerly served as its chief judge.
Royce C. Lamberth is a senior judge of the US District Court for the District of Columbia, appointed in 1987 and former chief judge from 2008 to 2013. He also served as presiding judge of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court and chairman of the Judicial Conference's Inter-Circuit Assignments Committee.
