Donald Eugene Nehlen (born January 1, 1936) is a former American football player and coach. He was head football coach at Bowling Green State University (1968–1976 [1] ) and at West Virginia University (1980–2000).
Don Nehlen is the most successful coach in West Virginia's first century of football, with 200 wins and 15 winning seasons. He also coached at Bowling Green, Cincinnati and Michigan, and was inducted into several halls of fame.
