Ethan de Groot (born 22 July 1998) is a professional rugby union player who plays as a prop for Super Rugby club Highlanders. Born in Australia, he represents New Zealand at international level after qualifying on ancestry grounds. He is the son of Rodney and Nikkila de Groot.
The powerhouse front rower made his Test debut for the All Blacks against Fiji in Dunedin on July 10, 2021. Raised in New Zealand’s deep south, the form of loosehead prop Ethan de Groot was a highlight for the Highlanders in the 2021 Super Rugby season.

Ethan de Groot rose through the Southland Rugby Academy and age group teams before making his Super Rugby debut in 2020. While he was included in the Highlander's team that played the NSW Waratahs in a pre-season game in Alexandra in February 2019, he didn't make his Super Rugby debut until the end of 2020 against the Chiefs.
