Matthew Orford (born 22 April 1978), also known by the nickname of "The Ox", is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s and 2010s. He played for the Gosford Townies as a junior.

Orford underwent hip surgery last week in North Sydney's Mater Hospital and remained in hospital following complications from the operation. On Sunday Orford, 38, collapsed due to a seizure.
In his five seasons with the Storm Orford has established a club points-scoring record but despite his good form in 2003-05, as the club returned to the play-offs, rep honours eluded him. In 2006 he signed with Manly and his personal good form never skipped a beat.
