Warner Oland (Johan Verner Ölund: Nyby, de Västerbottens, 3 de octubre de 1879 – Estocolmo, 6 de agosto de 1938) fue un actor sueco conocido principalmente por su interpretación del personaje Charlie Chan.
Warner Oland (born Johan Verner Ölund; October 3, 1879 – August 6, 1938) was a Swedish-American actor. His career included time on Broadway and numerous film appearances.
Actor estadounidense de origen sueco. Nació el 3 de octubre de 1880 en Umea. Cuando contaba 10 años emigra junto a sus padres a los Estados Unidos. Warner Oland se inició en el teatro y fue además traductor de August Strindberg.
Warner Oland was a Swedish-born actor who played Charlie Chan, a Chinese-American detective, in 16 films from 1931 to 1937. He suffered from alcoholism and mental problems and died in Sweden in 1938.

Six months later, on January 17, 1938, during the filming of Charlie Chan at the Ringside, Warner Oland walked off the set. He clearly needed to regain his life. Reportedly suffering from a nervous breakdown, Oland spent the month of February in a hospital.
Warner Oland was a Swedish-American actor who played many Asian characters, such as Charlie Chan and Dr. Fu Manchu. He also appeared in The Jazz Singer, Werewolf of London, and Shanghai Express.
