Music for Them Asses is the second album released by the heavy metal band The Almighty Punchdrunk featuring Glenn Thomson Patrick Beaduane Ron McNeil Gene Hoglan of Strapping Young Lad and Cam Kroetsch The album was produced by Devin Townsend in 2001 and was never released commercially; it it's available at Virusworx.com eBay.com.
Hoglan also was recruited by Vancouver thrash metal band The Almighty Punchdrunk, and appeared as a band member for their only album to date, Music for Them Asses, released in 2001. Hoglan is working with Dethklok , the band from the animated TV show Metalocalypse .
Hoglan plays along with songs by Testament, Death, Galaktikon, Strapping Young Lad and Meldrum and provides plenty of stories about the songs and behind-the-scenes footage. “I’m doing a lot of talking so you definitely get to see my personality come out,” he says.
Hoglan tuvo su primera batería a los 13 años y es completamente autodidacta. En 1984 comenzó su carrera musical como técnico de luces para la banda de thrash metal Slayer, donde tocaba la batería en las pruebas de sonido. Formó parte de la banda War God con Michelle Meldrum.
