No-Man es un dúo británico formado en 1987 por Steven Wilson y Tim Bowness bajo el nombre de "No Man Is An Island (Except The Isle Of Man)". Aunque ellos mismos se definen como eclécticos y en constante cambio, su género musical se enmarca dentro del jazz, rock progresivo, trip hop, electro-pop, art rock y música ambiental.
Violinist Ben Coleman joined the project after becoming involved with recording sessions in late 1988. The band established a four-piece live line-up in 1989 by adding guitarist Stuart Blagden (who had previously played with Bowness in the Manchester-based band, Still).

Released in August 1999, Speak is a compilation album consisting of previously obscure material by No-Man. Originally, recorded between 1988 and 1989, the songs were re-mixed and re-sung in 1999 (during the band’s sessions for Returning Jesus).
