8 de jul. de 2022 · Steve Brookins, former drummer of the rock band 38 Special, was hospitalized after a fatal boat accident in Florida. He was traveling with his friend Heather Anan, who died in the collision with a dock, according to News4JAX.
The new group comprised Van Zant, Barnes, Lyons, Brookins, second drummer Jack Grondin and a returning Carlisi. The band's name was thought up after an incident which found the boys practicing in a warehouse out in the middle of nowhere.
