Fulbert of Falaise (fl. 11th century) was a Chamberlain of the Duke of Normandy and the maternal grandfather of William the Conqueror. Little direct testimony survives of Fulbert.

As the maternal grandfather of William the Conqueror, Fulbert, the Tanner of Falaise, occupies a unique place in history. This paper discusses widely circulated myths and hypotheses surrounding the origins of Fulbert, his wife Doda, and their daughter Herleva.
Moved to Falaise and became a wealthy tanner, an occupation of low regard--and high smell. He later also became a brewer--a combination not viewed highly by the public. He also became Chamberlain to Duke Robert after his daughter became the duke's mistress.
Fulbert de Falaise was born on 16 January 0976, in Falaise, Calvados, Normandy, France. He had at least 3 sons and 1 daughter with Doda. He died on 7 January 1017, in Normandy, France, at the age of 40, and was buried in Falaise, Calvados, Lower Normandy, France.
