Superb collection of stories told expertly by Joni Mitchell. Some brilliant bass work by Jaco, and intelligent guitar accompaniment by Larry Carlton. Larry has that knack for giving the song exactly what it means, but nothing more. It's important also to mention Joni Mitchell's guitar work here is stellar. She is multi-talented.

John Guerin on drums and Larry Carlton on electric guitar deliver some their best, most tasteful work, with just the right amount of assertiveness, skirting a line between folk-pop and jazz in a way I’ve never heard matched.
