David Torn (also, aka “splattercell”) is a composer, texturalist, guitarist, producer & whatnot of actual international stature, renowned for his unique musical voice which seems to span & un-define a range of idioms and styles.
Atmospheric jazz fusion led by trumpeter and synth-enthusiast Mark Isham, with the help of a bunch of contributing musicians, including guitarist David Torn and Mick Karn, bassist for Japan.
His discography is extensive and varied, including participation with artists including David Sylvian, Group 87, Art Lande, Pharoah Sanders, Van Morrison, David Torn, and sessions with people like Brian Wilson, Joni Mitchell, Terry Bozzio, Bill Bruford, XTC, and Siouxsie Sioux.
