theStart (stylized as theSTART) [3] is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California. History. Aimee Echo and Jamie Miller formed the band in 1998, originally named Hero. They changed it to theStart on October 31, 1999, because "Hero" was already being used by many other bands.
theStart. Originally named Hero, theStart was formed in 1998 when Aimee Echo and Jamie Miller met while touring with their former bands Human Waste Project and Snot. Within weeks, the band was playing gigs throughout the Los Angeles area, including coveted opening slots for Orgy.
